Street Fighter III: New Generation is a 1997 arcade fighting game from Capcom and the first entry in the Street Fighter III series, introducing a largely new roster alongside returning fighters Ryu and Ken. It debuted several characters who became series staples, including Alex, Dudley, Ibuki, and Gill, and introduced the parry mechanic that became a defining feature of Street Fighter III.
